How VIRA handles marketing consent, in plain language.
The marketing consent checkbox on every capture page is optional and unchecked by default. Customers can join a business’s list, leave private feedback, and see the public review link without consenting to marketing.
Every grant or revocation is stored with the exact disclosure text the customer saw, its version, the source, the method, and a timestamp.
Unsubscribe links require no login, are processed idempotently, and permanently suppress the contact from future marketing for that business.
VIRA’s own product updates to business owners are also opt-in, unchecked by default, and separately unsubscribable. Essential account emails (verification, password reset, billing) are not marketing and are unaffected.
